Kaleidoscope scarves

I took the scarves on the right to Liberty London and met with Ed Burstell to discuss selling the designs. The designs were meant to be a bit like Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings fantasy worlds. The ones with little triangles were meant to be fairy flags.

Banners

I created two large banners and wrote a story which hung in St George’s Church in Bloomsbury for the Emily Wilding Davison Festival.

3D objects mapped with PowerPoint patterns. I then edited the colours in Photoshop and placed them onto my kaleidoscopic.

Typeface

I created a magical typeface for the Wilding Festival banners. This was a fully functioning font. I based it on magical alphabets and Icelandic staves. I took some of the type into Adobe Illustrator, expanded it so it was became vector shapes and then took them into some 3D software. I created blocks to place the type on top of. I was thinking of festivals such as Glastonbury or Bestival where there were lots of giant word sculptures. I placed these onto my map scarves. I used patterns I had made in PowerPoint for for the patterns on the shapes.
